Can members join the association from out of state?

 

Yes, we highly encourage players from out of state to join even if there is no chapter established  in their area yet.  The goal is to raise awareness, support and open new chapters across the nation, ultimately, across the globe.

If a player only played for 1 season, can they still apply to be a part of NSPF?

Yes.  We encourage anyone who played, ran or participated in Semi-Pro Football to join the association.  This includes players, coaches, cheerleaders, etc.

Our next chapter location is set to open in the state of California.

Can interested persons from outside of Nevada join the Zoom meetings?

Yes. The Q&A Sessions are open to the public and you may join from anywhere around the world.  Participation in the Q&A Sessions will help you understand the mission and vision of the association as well as give Leadership an idea of the types of needs, concerns or areas of interest is top of mind for our members.

Are direct family members allowed to be involved?

Membership is limited to spouses and/or domestic partners of the alumni.

How can they spread the word?

We found the best way to spread the word is through word of mouth.  However, we also have a Facebook page and will be setting up multiple other social media outlets.

Are there plans to help disadvantaged youth?

Yes, this our primary community focus; to empower the youth and help at-risk and underserved communities.

What type of events will you be holding?

Golf Events, Alumni Luncheons, Fundraiser events, Youth and Teen sports camps and more.  Stay tuned and connected for more information.

How many players do you think there are in Nevada?

We do not know exactly however Semi-Pro Football has been in Las Vegas for over 2 decades, so we anticipate having census data updates by the end of 2021.

How do you become a board member?

All potential Board member must fit the criteria to be considered a board member.  They will also be interviewed and must be voted in by current board members.

What are some of the partner benefits?

The partner benefits will be outlined in the partnership agreement.

Do you accept donations?

While we are currently awaiting our official IRS approval, we have a fiscal sponsorship agreement with the Nevada Asian Community Resource Center so we can begin accepting donations and formalizing sponsorship or partnerships at any time.

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes, once we are declared our official 501c3 status as well as through our partnership with our Non-Profit sponsor the donation is tax deductible.  All gifting receipts will be emailed or given immediately upon any gifting.
